NADIYA HUSSEIN JOINS THE RANKS AT KITCHENWIZ

We are delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with  celebrity chef and “Great British Bake-off” winner, Nadiya Hussein.

Nadiya rose to fame in 2015 after winning the sixth series of the popular TV baking contest and captured the nation`s heart with her humour and charm. Following her win, she has hosted multiple cooking programmes and penned numerous cookbooks. Nadiya, however has remained true to her first love; baking and knows more than anyone the importance of quality equipment.

“I think baking is for everyone” says Nadiya, who has always advocated for diversity and inclusivity, “I`m not a professional chef, but I use professional appliances because I know they make all the difference”

And what does she love most about the new range?

“All the appliances are excellent” she says, “They are timeless pieces that will last and look great in any kitchen for years to come, but if I had to choose one it would be the new food processor. It`s a work of art!”

A DAY IN THE LIFE…….

Claudia Jackson talks to JASON MILLER, head chef at London`s prestigious Bambu Restaurant about his illustrious career.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A CHEF?

I was never academic at school, or particularly good at sport. My mum was an excellent cook and I used to help her a lot in the kitchen. In those days, we didn’t have money to be able to afford the best appliances, but we made it work.

DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST JOB?

How could I forget? My first job was as a kitchen porter in a small hotel in Margate. It was hard work, long hours, and low pay, but it pushed me to do better, and I learned a lot from the chefs I worked with.

HOW IMPORTANT ARE APPLIANCES TO A PROFESSIONAL CHEF?

Very important. The right equipment can make the difference between a culinary catastrophe and a triumph. I always say to invest in the best appliances you can afford. They will last for years and it’s a great investment in your future and professional reputation.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ASPIRING CHEFS?

Work hard, learn your craft and be the best at what you do. And above all never give up.
